John, was an eye witness to many of Jesus' miracles, and as John wrote his account of the life of Jesus Christ; he reminds us that the supernatural feats of Jesus were not just random acts of kindness meant to help and inspire people. They were actually signs that give evidence for who Jesus is.

John 20:30-31

Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
